ABSTRACT
The high production cost in the rice areas has been the major problem among our farmers for decades. In the advent of the agricultural farm mechanization by Republic Act 10601 or Agriculture and Fishery Modernization Act, the influx of farm machineries was observed. Thus, this study was conducted to determine the extent of mechanization, the level of usage of the machines, and the economic benefits in the eight (8) barangays of Conner, Apayao which have been determined as the top rice production areas. A descriptive-survey method was used in data gathering wherein survey questionnaire were directly answered by 134 respondents. Data gathered were tabulated and analyzed using frequency counts, percentage and ranking. Results showed that only 2,737.25 hectares from the 91,388.42 hectares total land area of Conner, Apayao was cultivated for rice production. Also, findings revealed that farmers in Conner, Apayao still use the old farm machineries like hand tractor (kuliglig) for land preparation and thresher at harvesting. Though there were new agricultural machineries like rotavators, tractors, transplanters and combine harvesters, their efficient utilization in the rice production areas were limited due to the inaccessibility of all-season farm-to-market roads.

ABSTRACT
The study was conducted to determine the role that e-commerce played in terms of the flow of goods and services during the pandemic. Data were collected based on facebook activity in terms of the goods purchased by the client and products advertised by the seller. Feeds from Facebook friends’ accounts specifically walls, tags, and messengers were monitored. The study showed that food was the most purchased product, followed by fashion items and health and beauty products whose main patrons are the females. Electronic products were least purchased and with the males who did a relatively higher frequency of purchase. It can be deduced that while there was a problem in the supply of basic goods and services, online selling augmented this deficiency. E-commerce therefore is a promising industry specially in times of crisis such as the current pandemic. With the promising role that online commerce presents, this kind of platform need to be further assessed for improvement in the delivery of goods and services to which it offers.
