SDG 10 - REDUCED INEQUALITIES

Reduced inequality inside and between nations is the focus of Sustainable Development Goal 10. Reducing financial disparities as well as those based on age, sex, disability, color, ethnicity, origin, religion, or economic or other position within a country are all encouraged by this SDG. The objective also addresses disparities between nations, such as those pertaining to representation, immigration, and development aid.

The world community has made important progress in assisting those in need of relief from poverty. The least developed countries, landlocked developing countries, and small island developing states are the most vulnerable and continue to make progress in reducing poverty. Yet, there are still significant discrepancies in access to resources like healthcare, education, and other services.

Apayao State College (ASC), as a Higher Education Institution in the country, is committed to contributing to the attainment of SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities. The P/A/Ps under this SDG include the following:

Strategic Area 1 (Access and Equity) of our Strategic Development Plan emphasizes the provision of a supportive environment where students can avail themselves of quality education regardless of age, ethnicity, socio-economic status, disability status, sexual orientation, or geographic location. It also points out the implementation of RA 10931 and the provision of scholarship opportunities and other various forms of financial assistance to students to help them graduate and succeed in their chosen field of endeavor.
