The ASC Conner Campus intramural opens today, bringing together students, faculty, and staff for a fun-filled celebration of athleticism and camaraderie starting with the grand entrance of colors by the ROTC Officers that took place at the EKB Multipurpose Building in Cubet Site, ASC Conner Campus.
Clad in their respective colors, the BS Agriculture (Green), BS Business Administration (Gold Yellow), BS Industrial Technology (Black), BS Civil Engineering (Maroon), BS Hospitality & Tourism Mngt. (Violet & Peach), BS Information Technology (Orange & Black), Teacher Education (Blue), BS Criminology (Red), and the Senior High School (Pink) showed off their level of excitement and anticipation for the two-day event.
Following the procession, the Ipasindayaw singers led the invocation followed by the welcome remarks of Dr. Randy A. Cabilatazan, the Campus Academic Dean.
“Sana sa ating paghilom, madaragdagan pa ang mga estudyanteng mapgpapakita ng kanilang angking talento para ito ay makatulong at magbigay ng lakas sa muling pagbangon ng antas ng paligsahan sa ibang rehyon ng ating bansa’, Dr. Cabilatazan stressed on the Intramural’s theme “Paghilom, Pagbangon, at Pagsulong”.
The Banamba Performing Artists rendered their intermission number followed by the Oath of Amateurism by Rosalinda Aggabao, a SCUAA National Athlete.
Eight pairs to compete in the Search for Mr. and Ms. ASC Conner Campus 2024 were presented on stage.
Meanwhile, the event provided the Bureau of Fire Protection-Conner a way to promote awareness, vigilance, and proactive measures in fire prevention during their IEC campaign.
Moving on, the Sports Director, Constancio Maslang, Jr., officially declared the games open and reminded players to uphold the values of fair play, respect, and integrity throughout the games.
