Apayao State College, in collaboration with Brgy Sta. Lina, in Luna, Apayao, launches “Project Add-Ons 2024 Extension Program” to promote computer literacy in the community. Under the leadership of College President John N. Cabansag, the program aims to equip participants with essential digital skills. It covers fundamental computer operations, internet usage, digital communication, and responsible digital citizenship.

This initiative, running from January 18 to January 20, addresses the growing importance of digital literacy in today’s world. Supported by VPARDES Dr. Ronald Ocampo and Extension Director Dr. Mirasol Agpuldo, the partnership between ASC and Brgy Sta. Lina underscores their commitment to community development.

Moreover, working in tandem are campus officials instrumental in the success of the program. Lloyd Mark Razalan, Program Chair of BSIT, together with his team brings his expertise to ensure the curriculum is robust and tailored to the needs of the participants. Magilyn Racacho, the Project Leader, is on the ground overseeing the day-to-day operations, ensuring a seamless learning experience.

By fostering digital literacy, ASC and Brgy Sta. Lina aspire to empower individuals and set a precedent for future collaborations between educational institutions and local communities.

A heartfelt gratitude to Brgy Captain Hon. Benny Alipay, Brgy. Council Members, and the enthusiastic participants. Your support and active participation play a crucial role in making this initiative a success. Together, we are shaping a digitally empowered and connected community.
