Distancing hearts and minds but synonymous in empowered objectives, Apayao State College built a hall for the search of Mr. and Ms. ASC 2024, where they competed at the Luna Campus EKB Auditorium on April 2. Aeron Orosco Torida of Bachelor of Science in Information Technology was hailed as the Mr. ASC 2024, conquering numerous awards: Best Performer, Best in Isnag Attire, Best in Casual Wear, Best in Talent, and Best in Modern Barong.
Meanwhile, Katlyn G. Valdez of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration was crowned as the Ms. ASC 2024, garnering notable awards: Best Performer, Best in Casual Wear, Best in Talent, Best in Modern Filipiñiana, and Most Articulate. Mike Lorenzo Agtarap of BSBA and Clarisa T. Tabangcura of Bachelor of Physical Education reached the first runner-up position. Ar-jay S. Agustin of BPED was awarded as Mr. Congeniality, and Jhasmin Vea Garcia of BS in Hospitality Management, both secured the second runner-up position.
The following candidates of Conner and Luna Campuses also landed a lasting impression on the stage: Ian Clint Bagayao of BS in Criminology, Reywin Gagarin of BS in Agriculture, Trisha P. Ablangan of BS in Tourism Management, Mary Rivas of BS in Economics, Eliza Follo of BS in Information and Communication Technology placed as Ms. Congeniality. Mike Angelo M. Grande of Bachelor of Secondary Education emerged as the Most Articulate. Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo, VP-ARDES, reminded the contestants that beauty goes beyond the surface.
Similarly, Dr. Rema Bascos-Ocampo, Academic Dean of Luna Campus walked the significance of pursuing one goal within the two campuses. “Together we will showcase the diverse talents and remarkable achievements that define our institution”, she said.
Furthermore, in light of recognizing the contestants’ performance, Mr. Don John N. Fronda, Socio-Cultural Coordinator of Luna Campus, read the criteria for judging. Mr. Jayjun Dubla, Socio-Cultural Coordinator of Conner Campus, introduced the board of judges. The Director for Student Affairs and Services, Mrs. Evelyn P. Alvarez, delivered her closing remarks.
