Isabela State University (ISU) and Apayao State College (ASC) formalized their collaboration with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on March 19 at the EKB Auditorium, ASC Luna Campus aimed at modernizing ASC’s student services operations through technical assistance from ISU.

The agreement was signed by ISU President Ricmar P. Aquino and ASC President John N. Cabansag, and witnessed by key officials from both institutions.

The partnership was initiated by ASC’s request for ISU’s expertise in computing services to extend another two years the use of the Student Automated College Admission, Registration Information, and Accounting System v1.0 (SACARIAS v1.0). The software solution, developed by ISU, is designed to automate and modernize various student services, and ASC aims to implement it to improve the efficiency of its admission, registration, accounting, and other related functions.

The MOA stipulates that ISU, represented by its extensionists, will provide technical, operational, and computing expertise to ASC. This will involve the deployment of SACARIAS v1.0 across several essential modules that will automate key aspects of ASC’s enrollment services, including:

• Student Module

• Registration Module

• Admission Module

• Scholarship Module

• Accounting Module

• Cashiering Module

• Faculty Module

Under the agreement, ASC will be allowed to use SACARIAS v1.0 free of charge for a period of two years. It also includes provisions to protect the integrity of the SACARIAS v1.0 software.

Both institutions have committed to safeguarding student and faculty data privacy by adhering to strict IT security protocols, ensuring that personal information remains protected throughout the use of the system.
