The Department of Trade and Industry-Apayao has finally turned over the ownership of its Shared Service Facilities (SSF) Project on Food Processing to Apayao State College on December 22, 2023, held at ASC-Luna Campus.
By way of a Deed of Donation, the DTI- Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) granted ownership of the SSF to ASC after having thoroughly evaluated the utilization of the project and that ASC has successfully passed the evaluation criteria.
President John N. Cabansag together with Dr. Mirasol L. Agpuldo, Director for Extension and Knowledge Technology Management gratefully accepted and signed the Deed of Donation from DTI-Apayao Provincial Director Wena M. Buston, witnessed by ASC campus officials and employees.
ASC, being an eligible cooperator of the project, has housed the machinery and equipment located on the ground floor of the RDE Building and has operated, maintained, and shouldered other counterparts such as the provision of personnel, working capital, and the submission of financial and physical accomplishments to DTI.
A flagship project of the DTI, the SSF Project is aimed at improving MSME productivity and efficiency through the provision of machinery, equipment, tools, systems, accessories, and other auxiliary items, skills, and knowledge under a shared system.
For two years now, ASC’s SSF has been processing and producing cookies, wines, vinegar, chips (taro & banana), polvoron, and, bread and pastry by HRM students.
