Four hundred residents of Conner, Apayao, each received ₱3,000 through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development-CAR.
The event, held on August 22 at the EKB Multi-Purpose Building in ASC Main Extension (Cubet), was facilitated by the LGU-Conner and the MSWD-SWAD Team.
Lunas Partylist Representative Carol Lopez, along with fund coordinators Gene Antonio Pahati and Al Hamed Uy, representing Senators Pia and Alan Peter Cayetano, attended the event to assist in the distribution of the financial aid. In addition to the ₱3,000, the beneficiaries received an extra ₱1,000.
Hon. Vice-Governor Remy N. Albano, Hon. Jason Loyon (Conner-SB member), some officials from LGU-Conner representing Hon. Mayor Jorico F. Bayaua, and barangay officials came to grace the event and expressed gratitude to Senators Pia and Alan through their representatives.
Apayao State College supported this event, with Student Affairs Director Madelyne T. Maslang, welcoming the guests and BSHM Instructor Jayjun Dubla serving as the EMCEE, alongside the GSO Unit who also extended their services in preparing the venue.
