Faculty researchers and students from Apayao State College (ASC) brought pride to the institution as they earned multiple awards during the 15th Regional Symposium on Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Highlights and the 8th Regional Research Student Congress, hosted by Ifugao State University on October 28–30.
Guided by the theme “Happitan (Conversations): Leveraging Science and Technology Towards Sustainable and Innovative Communities,” the event was spearheaded by the Cordillera Consortium for Agriculture, Aquatic, and Resources Research and Development (CorCAARRD) and the Cordillera Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development Consortium (CIEERDeC) to foster dialogue and innovation in research and development across the Cordillera.
Participants competed in six major fields — Agriculture, Aquatic, and Natural Resources (AANR); Education; Extension; Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technologies (IEET); Social AANR; and Socio-Cultural Studies.
ASC’s representatives achieved notable recognition for their innovative research projects and poster presentations.
