Graduating students of Apayao State College (ASC) – Luna Campus are moving closer to entering the professional world through a career guidance program held on June 4-5 at EKB Auditorium, ASC-Luna Campus.
Carrying the theme “Launch Your Future: Skills, Stories, and Strategies for Career Success,” Associate Professor Evelyn S. Alvarez, Director of Student Affairs and Services, affirmed that “some of us may come from nothing, but that does not mean we cannot become something.”
Throughout the program, resource speakers shared insights and advice drawn from their respective fields:
• Atty. Mark Anthony C. Tungpalan of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Apayao Field Office provided labor market information and employment readiness.
• Mr. Kevin Jay L. Arienda of Tumog National Agricultural and Trade High School addressed the importance of resilience in navigating career challenges.
• Human Resource Management Officer Herminia L. Danao, and Instructor Arlene Joy T. Llantada facilitated a session on resume writing and interview preparation.
• Assistant Professor Kriselle Donna A. Baletbet, Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Program Chair, discussed pathways in entrepreneurship and employment.
• Instructor Edmar G. Acosta spoke about finding purpose and direction through self-discovery.
Dr. Rema Bascos-Ocampo, Campus Academic Dean, and Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo, Vice President for Academics, Research & Development, and Extension Services, stressed the value of lifelong learning, adaptability, and integrity.
In her closing remarks, OIC Guidance Counselor Kathreeza C. Ganiban reflected on the importance of setting clear goals.
