Recognizing the role of State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) in the promotion, advocacy, and development of Cooperatives in the education system stipulated in Republic Act 11364, Apayao State College thru President Dr. John N. Cabansag and the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) represented by its Regional Director-Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) Atty. Franco G. Bawang, Jr., forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on May 25, 2023 held at EKB Auditorium, Luna Campus.

The three-year partnership agreement covers the implementation of the Training of Trainers (ToT) Course of accredited Cooperative Training Providers (CTPro) and prospective applicants of CDA accreditation program.

Specifically, ASC shall conduct the ToT Course for the trainers of accredited CTPro which will be closely monitored by CDA along with the creation of pool of resource speakers within the College, provision of facilities, reproduction of training materials to effectively attain the objectives of the training, among others.

Both parties shall ensure the sustainability of the agreement with the end goal of providing quality training and education to cooperatives through ToT program.

The MOA was signed in the presence of Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo, Vice-President for Academic, Research Development and Extension and Dr. Mirasol L. Agpuldo, Director for Extension and Knowledge Technology Management (KTM).
