Over 80 teaching and non-teaching employees of Apayao State College are on a Gender and Development (GAD)/ISO benchmarking, teambuilding, and educational tour at Quezon Province, the Summer and Art Capital of Southern Luzon, from September 4-6, 2023.

Following an 18-hour journey from Apayao Province, the ASC convoy made its way to Lucban Quezon, where the perfect teambuilding venue is at Batis Aramin Resort and Hotel, situated 1,500 feet above sea level at the foot of Mount Banahaw.

Shortly after arrival, the opening program (part I) and teambuilding activity (part II) set the tone for day 1 (September 4). Game activities for teambuilding included the completion of seven engaging and fun-filled tasks such as banner making, logo hunting, yarn challenge, and trivia challenge, among others, that allowed increased collaboration, built trust and mutual respect, encouraged communication, and strengthened bonds between and among the teams represented by the colors green, red, orange, yellow, and blue. The green team emerged as the overall champ. Participants shared their takeaways from the team-building activity saying the positive vibes created during each completed task were done with fun, excitement, and fulfillment.

The 3-in-1 GAD/ISO activity has been made possible through the initiative of the GAD unit spearheaded by its focal person Dr. Rey Carl V. Arimas in collaboration with Apayao Development Implementers Guided by Innovativeness (ADIGI) led by its President, Dr. Angelito G. Renosa.

ASC would like to thank the Provincial Government of Apayao for the provision of 2 buses.
