To advocate stronger practices as stewards of the environment, ASC Conner Campus employees left their respective offices to go hand-in-hand with the community to participate in the simultaneous clean-up drive–aligning today’s observance of World Environment Day (WED) with the theme, “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience”.
This organized activity also adheres to the memorandum released by the Office of the Mayor-Municipality of Conner to support DILG’s Kalinisan program. All wastes have been placed in the material recovery facility for proper documentation, sorting, weighing, recording, and collecting.
World Environment Day is an annual global event every 5th of June that aims to raise awareness and action on pressing environmental issues. It has become a crucial platform since 1974 by the United Nations General Assembly.
