The Apayao State College (ASC) conducted the 2023 National Women’s Month Kick-off Program last March 8, 2023, with the theme: “We Gender Equality & Inclusive Society”. This one-day program was spearheaded by the Gender and Development Office which highlights the conduct of an information-drive orientation seminar; the launching of Gender and Development IEC corner; and the ribbon cutting of advocacy photobooth.
ASC College President Dr. John N. Cabansag together with the college and Campus Officials; and invited Resource Speaker, Atty. Ofie Marie L. Balalio, Legal Officer of MLGU-Calanasan, Apayao led the launching of GAD-IEC corner and ribbon-cutting of the advocacy photobooth.
During the kick-off program, Dr. Cabansag stressed the involvement of women plays a vital role in nation-building. Likewise, he expressed his gratitude to the entire women workforce of the institution for their significant contributions made to ASC.
Other activities of the 2023 NWMC will be conducted in the following weeks of March.
