New ASC Student Trustee Formally Sworn In
Bert W. Galacyan, the President of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Apayao State College (ASC), was officially sworn in as the new Student Trustee during the 96th Regular Board of Trustees Meeting held at Camp John Hay in Baguio City on July 30, 2024.
Galacyan, an incoming 4th-year BS in Information Technology student at ASC-Conner Campus, takes over the role from Rely M. Taan.
Taan, now a BSHM graduate of ASC Conner Campus, previously served as the SSC President and Corp Commander of the ROTC Unit.
The oath of office was administered by CHED Commissioner Marita R. Canapi, the Chairperson of the ASC Board of Trustees. The ceremony was witnessed by esteemed members of the Board, marking a significant moment in the college’s governance.
As the new Student Trustee, Galacyan is expected to play a crucial role in representing the student body, ensuring their perspectives and voices are included and heard at the highest level of decision-making. His appointment promises to bring fresh insights and dedicated advocacy for student interests within the Board.
