The Environmental Sustainability and Governance (ESG) Office of Apayao State College (ASC) spearheaded a crucial discussion on the Environmental Compliance Certificate (ECC) and the ongoing refinement of the ASC Environmental Code.
Held on February 4, at the RDE building Conference Hall in ASC-Luna Campus, the session—led by Dr. David A. Rodolfo, ESG Officer—focused on developing strategies that align sustainable development with environmental stewardship, positioning the ASC Environmental Code as a key framework for future initiatives.
Key Recommendations from the deliberations:
Centralized waste management system for better collection and segregation.
Incorporation of student boarding house visitations under the Student Affairs and Services (SAS) responsibilities.
Strengthening campus greening efforts to enhance the institution’s landscape.
Strategic placement of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) near school facilities for improved accessibility.
With these proactive measures, ASC continues its commitment to fostering an environmentally responsible academic community.
