As part of the 31st Founding Anniversary celebration of the Province of Apayao, Apayao State College (ASC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the SMART Mobility for Viable, Efficient, and Cleaner Mode of Transportation (MOVE Apayao) Project on February 25 at Apayao Eco-Tourism and Sports Complex.

Representing ASC President John N. Cabansag, Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo, Vice President for Academics, Research, Development, and Extension Services (VP ARDES), signed the agreement.

ASC is among the beneficiaries of the MOVE Apayao Project, an initiative that introduces electric vehicle technologies aimed at promoting cleaner and more efficient transportation in the province. These include the E-Trike, E-Tranvia, C-Trike, and the establishment of a Battery Swapping Station.

The electromobility technologies for the project were developed by Cagayan State University (CSU) through its research and development programs.

The MOVE Apayao Project is implemented by the Department of Science and Technology–Cordillera Administrative Region (DOST-CAR), through the Provincial Science and Technology Office–Apayao, in collaboration with CSU, ASC, and the Provincial Government of Apayao.
