Apayao State College (ASC) participated in the BRyA Research Summit 2025, held on October 9-10 at the EKB Auditorium, RDE Building at ASC–Luna Campus, showcasing its commitment to advancing environmental research and sustainable development in the Cordillera region.
In one of the plenary sessions, Dr. Maria Christina Z. Manicad, Director for Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) Services, presented “Initiatives in BRyA: Conservation,” which highlighted a comprehensive collection of research and conservation projects implemented in the province of Apayao.
The discussion encompassed key thematic areas such as sustainable natural resource utilization, biodiversity and wildlife conservation, forest, watershed, and ecosystem management, climate change, resilience, and disaster risk reduction, and bamboo industry development.
Meanwhile, For. Hannie T. Martin, Director of Planning & MIS and BSF Program Chairperson, served as one of the facilitators for Land Use and Natural Resource Management, sharing her expertise on sustainable practices and resource stewardship.
