Aimed at strengthening research capabilities, newly appointed permanent and Contract of Service (COS) faculty members from various departments of ASC-Luna Campus participated in a capability-building session, hosted by the Research Development Innovation & Higher Education held on November 25 at the IPTBM, RDE Building.
Dr. Maria Christina Z. Manicad, Director for Research, Development, and Special Projects, led discussions on the research process and ethics, emphasizing a systematic approach and the importance of responsible research practices. She also introduced the National Agriculture and Resources Research and Development System (NAARDS), a collaborative network of over 130 R&D agencies in the Philippines coordinated by the Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (PCAARRD).
Ms. Quennie A. Berbano shared insights on research models, while Engr. Kurt Chester Baddo tackled research methodologies.
Encouraging participants to embrace a mindset of curiosity and innovation, Dr. Manicad remarked, “Remember that every great discovery starts with a question and a willingness to explore the unknown.”
