In its continuous quest to deliver quality education for all, Apayao State College (ASC) underwent rigorous evaluation for four of its program offerings at the Conner Campus on November 20-21, 2024. The programs assessed included Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSEd), Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd), Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BS Criminology), and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT).
The evaluation was conducted by the Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQuAT), composed of distinguished education specialists from CHED-CAR and leading academic institutions in the region:
• CHED-CAR: Dr. Patricio M. Dinamling, Mr. Darius B. Coloma, and Ms. Lynette S. Cholin
• University of the Cordilleras: Dr. Ramir S. Austria and Dr. Marcelino M. Agnawa, Jr.
• Benguet State University: Dr. Evelyn S. Angiwan and Dr. Cristina C. Agrabe
The team evaluated program compliance and sustainability in line with CHED’s policies, standards, and guidelines (PSGs). Areas of focus included laboratories, libraries, classrooms, and other learning facilities. Both the Main Campus in Malama and the Extension Site in Cubet were visited.
In addition, document reviews and interview sessions with faculty and students provided deeper insights into program implementation and stakeholder satisfaction.
Prior to the Conner Campus visit, the RQuAT also conducted an assessment at the Luna Campus on November 19-20, evaluating compliance for the BSEd, BEEd, Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd), and BSIT programs.
Facilitated by the Quality Assurance Office alongside the full participation of college & campus officials, program chairpersons, faculty, students, and support staff, ASC’s dedication to excellence is evident in its pursuit of securing Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC), affirming that its degree programs meet CHED standards. These certifications not only highlight the college’s adherence to quality but also ensure its graduates are equipped to address the evolving demands of the workforce and society.
