June 7, 2024–Apayao State College National Service Training Program-Civic Welfare Training Service (NSTP-CWTS) celebrated the graduation ceremony of 252 completers at the EKB Multipurpose Building in ASC Conner Campus.
The notable attendees were Dr. Randy A. Cabilatazan, Campus Academic Dean; Dr. Agustina G. Pattung, Associate Dean, Graduate School; and Dr. Leandro B. Alla, ASC-BSHTM program chair, who served as the event’s keynote speaker.
In his message, Alla reminded the completers of their shared purpose; thus, he noted that NSTP-CWTS is not just about cleaning but also about service-learning experiences, personal growth, and a contribution to the community. It signifies their readiness to apply the knowledge and skills gained during their involvement in the program, as well as their commitment to becoming responsible citizens.
Furthermore, motivating the completers to strive for community service, Lamao states in his speech that “…this moment [NSTP-CWTS Graduation] marks the end of two semesters of hard work and the beginning of a journey filled with newfound skills, enhanced perspectives, and a deeper commitment to being responsible and active citizens dedicated to serving and uplifting your communities. As you move forward, remember the lessons you’ve learned and the values you’ve embraced in the NSTP-CWT. Let this experience guide you as you continue to lead and serve in the future…”
Following the speeches, certificates of completion were awarded to recognize their completion of the NSTP-CWTS course, and special awards were distributed to deserving NSTP-CWTS student leaders.
The NSTP-CWTS graduation served as a testament to the power of community service as the graduates departed the program equipped with a treasure trove of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly lead them toward their future endeavors. Spearheaded by Mc Ornoc T. Lamao, NSTP Coordinator, the organizer team was joined by Angelika Batugon, LED Operator, Marlon Daguyam and Dexter Dangli, Sounds Operator, Dhezyrine Gandalera, Master of Ceremony, and the 34 NSTP-CWTS student leaders.
