To reinforce professionalism and integrity in public service, newly-hired and promoted teaching and non-teaching personnel attended a development seminar organized by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) on April 21 at EKB Auditorium, ASC-Luna Campus.

The seminar focused on mindful eating, RA 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees), basic customer service skills, and reorientation on Filipino values to boost personal well-being and professional competence, featuring resource speakers, Associate Professor Leilani S. Parugrug, Atty. Apolinario B. Eboy, Jr., and HRM Officer Herminia L. Danao.

Asso. Prof. Parugrug opened the sessions with a talk on mindful eating, emphasizing the significance of cultivating awareness of eating behaviors to foster a healthier relationship with food through mindfulness-based techniques.

Following this, Atty. Eboy tackled RA 6713, highlighting the need to deepen participants’ understanding of the ethical responsibilities and standards expected of government workers.

Concluding the program, HRM Officer Danao discussed Basic Customer Service Skills (BCSS) and the re-orientation on Filipino values, stressing the importance of courtesy, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity in public service.

An open forum capped the seminar which provided attendees to raise questions and reflect on their roles as more effective and values-driven public servants.
