In a pursuit of a meaningful and impactful career that aligns personal values with professional aspirations, the Gender and Development Office of Apayao State College held a culminating program titled “Purpose Driven Career: Redefining Goals and Mindset” on March 31 at the Multimedia Room, MITHI Building, ASC-Luna Campus.
Dr. Rey Carl Arimas, GAD Focal Person, led the initiative, gathering teaching personnel from the campus. Administrative Officer Kathreeza C. Ganiban, a member of the GFPS Secretariat Committee, introduced HRMO Herminia L. Danao, who served as the resource speaker.
She discussed the importance of a purpose-driven career, emphasizing job satisfaction, emotional fulfillment, and value alignment as key factors in professional growth. She also tackled topics such as:
• Setting and redefining career goals
• Evaluating aspirations and professional direction
• Understanding the broader impact of career choices on life and well-being
Furthermore, she provided strategies for enhancing service at ASC, including aligning skills with institutional goals, engaging in community outreach, fostering collaboration across departments, and incorporating innovation in teaching methods.
She then concluded by highlighting that embracing a purpose-driven career requires self-reflection, goal-setting, and an awareness of how career choices influence overall life satisfaction and well-being.
For her part, Chief Administrative Officer Brendalyn U. Fernando encouraged faculty members to view the program as a catalyst for professional growth, resilience, and fulfillment.
