In preparation for the World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2024, the International Affairs and Linkages (IAL) Office organized a two-day lock-in writeshop to sustain ASC’s global standing and ensure timely submission of entries for the WURI 2024 Rankings, that opened on November 31 and closes on December 31, 2024.
Writers for the WURI categories have been identified, with the collaborative effort among college and campus officials.

Ms. Kathreeza B. Castillo: Working Advocates for Humanity and Interconnectedness (WAHI) (A1)
Dr. Marvelyn Ignacio: ECO APAYAO WACS (B3)
Mr. Dennis Dizon: Apayao: Bridge for Employment and Learning (ABEL) (A1), conceptualized by Dr. Philip Constantine L. Mandac, Director for IAL
Ms. Ma. Cristina Aguda: From Agri-Waste to Haste: Hub for Natural Textile Entrepreneurs (A4)
Dr. Ronald O. Ocampo: Sustained Vision: ASC’s Commitment to Biodiversity Conservation (B1) and SAFE (Science and Technology Action Frontline for Emergencies and Hazards) (A8)
Ms. Reclien Tagsay: Campus Mover for Christ-Campus Ministry (B4)
Mr. Junie Annua and Ms. Fairy Wayne Pablo: Project Pagbatayam under Student Mobility and Openness (A2)
In addition to these entries, two additional proposals were introduced:
• Empowering Through Engagement: Stakeholder Collaboration for Consultative Leadership in Management (B2)
• Nurturing Nature: Clonal Nurseries and Rainforestation for Apayao’s Biodiversity and Watersheds (B3)
In addition to crafting the entries, the team ensured that all projects and programs were aligned with the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that highlight ASC’s commitment to addressing global challenges through innovative and sustainable initiatives.
In 2023, ASC achieved significant recognition by securing 284th place in the WURI Top 300 Innovative Institutions and ranked 10th in Social Responsibility, 20th in Crisis Management, and 27th in Entrepreneurial Spirit.
The writeshop was held on December 16-17 at the IPTBM Room, RDE Building, ASC Luna Campus.
