The 53rd Founding Anniversary of Apayao State College was a meaningful and vibrant celebration held on July 10, 2024, at the Conner Campus. This event brought together the administrative and academic community, led by College President Dr. John N. Cabansag, College & Board Secretary, Vice-Presidents, Campus & College Officials, teaching & non-teaching employees, students, and retirees with the theme “Reminiscing the Past, Celebrating the Present, Building the Future.”
The day began with a motorcade at 7:30 AM, starting at the Main Campus and concluding at the Cubet Extension Site, followed by a Thanksgiving Mass at the EKB Multi-Purpose Building, officiated by Rev. Fr. Romeo Dawaton.
Key highlights included the blessing of the newly constructed RDE Building (1st & 2nd levels) and the Cubet Housing Staff and Students’ Facility at the Cubet Extension Site.
The event also featured the oath-taking ceremony of six reclassified faculty members:

A plaque of recognition was awarded to the World University Ranking for Innovations (WURI) 2024 Team for their invaluable contributions that placed ASC at 284th among 300 global innovative universities. ASC achieved notable ranks in various categories:

Recognition was also given to Prof. Maria Christina Z. Manicad and Prof. Agustina G. Pattung for their research on the antibacterial properties of Lubeg leaf extracts, published in the Journal of Pure and Applied Microbiology in May 2024.
Additionally, Asso. Prof. Madelyn T. Maslang was honored for her promotion from Private to Major in the Philippine Army Reserve Command.
The stage was reserved for five former colleagues, namely Maria Co, Magdalena Edan, Alice Isican, Jacinta Bayaua, and Inez Miranda who came to grace the occasion.
With active participation from both teaching and non-teaching employees, the day concluded with spirited volleyball and basketball competitions, adding a joyous and energetic end to the celebration.
