The college submitted its programs for accreditation to ensure that they largely meet their goals and are on par with similar institutions in terms of quality. A specific program offering, including all the related courses packaged in a curriculum, is evaluated as part of the accreditation process. The program undergoing accreditation must adhere to the minimal standards set by the accrediting agency in terms of the following: Vision, Mission, Goals and Objectives; Faculty; Curriculum and Instruction; Support to Students; Research; Extension and Community Involvement; Library; Physical Plant and Facilities; Laboratories; and Administration. This is because accreditation adopts standards that are typically higher than those issued by the Commission on Higher Education.
