To help newly hired teaching and non-teaching employees better understand their roles within the institution, Apayao State College (ASC) held the second phase of its employee orientation on October 10 at Luna Campus following the first phase at Conner Campus on September 26 organized by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO).
Campus Academic Dean Dr. Rema Bascos-Ocampo emphasized the importance of the onboarding program, stating that it equips new employees with the necessary tools and knowledge to contribute to the institution’s growth and the academic success of its students.
The orientation covered several key topics, including Academic Policies presented by Dr. Ocampo, and the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards (RA 6713), Working Time Policy, and Workplace Wellness, discussed by HRMO Herminia L. Danao. Quality Assurance Director Luningning B. Aribbay provided insights into ASC’s ISO Quality Policy and Quality Management System, while Gender and Development (GAD) Staff Ronaldo R. Diza shared an overview of GAD initiatives.
A highlight of the event was the launching of ASC’s mental health program and the inauguration of a mental health corner on the first floor of the RDE Building. The initiative, witnessed by employees and students, underscores the College’s commitment to the well-being of its community.
