In the name of LOVEs, short for Livelihood Opportunities for Visionary Entrepreneurs, the ASC-BS Hospitality Management Department in Conner Campus conducted a hands-on bread and pastry-making extension activity on September 12 in barangay Allangigan, Conner, Apayao.
The activity was a valuable platform for the community to acquire new skills and explore opportunities for entrepreneurship organized in partnership with the Women’s Association of Barangay Allangigan and is part of the BSHM Extension Project, Project I-BAKE (Innovative Baking Activities for Knowledge Enhancement), under the ASC-LOVEs Extension Program.
Dr. Leandro B. Alla demonstrated the process of baking pan de sal, Ms. Joan Angagan taught biscuit making, and Mr. Jayjun Dubla showcased the preparation of moist banana loaf. The activity was organized in response to the Training Needs Assessment conducted by the Extension Services Unit, which identified bread and pastry making as a key area of interest.
