In addition to the research accomplishments already reported, the other significant milestones achieved by the college for the year 2012 are:
1. 1.5M grant from DA-BAR for the project titled "Product Improvement and Commercialization of Indigenous Fruits in Apayao" of Technology
2. Certification from the DA- Bureau of Soil and Water Management issued to the college as producer of Biofertilizer and organic fertilizer. ASC is one of the only two institutions in the region that were given the certification.
Recognizing the vast pool of expertise that the college can offer, ASC was also tapped by DAR-CAR to implement ARCCESS program through RDE. Presently, the college is also working for the establishment of Scion Grove, SFR and Spring Development through DA-CAR.
In the previous years, ASC has shown its potential to be a prolific contributor to research and development. With the increasing number of the faculty and staff taking the initiative to conduct research activities, coupled with the untiring efforts of the College President who vigorously worked to link with other agencies and other support organizations, the institution is slowly gaining the attention of other HEIs and RDIs in the region as an emerging figure to reckon with in the field of Research and Development. The year 2012 marked the continuing growth and improvement in the Research Department of the College. Through the collective efforts of the administration, the Research Unit, the faculty and staff, the College was able to produce quality and competitive researches. For the year 2012 alone, the College generated seven completed and 21 on- going research projects, not counting other research proposals that are being packaged. Twenty-four (24) prospective research projects from the various units and departments have also been identified for implementation.
